Kodaline All I Want Lyrics

🌹 Lately, I came to know this song and listened to it many times.  Many people who are not expert singers attempt to attractively and appealingly sing this song better than Kodaline on the stage such as "Britain's Got Talent" or "The Blind Audition" and the rest.

All I Want

All I want is nothing more
To hear you knocking at my door
'Cause if I could see your face once more
I could die as a happy man I'm sure

When you said your last goodbye
I died a little bit inside
I lay in tears in bed all night
Alone without you by my side

But if you loved me
Why did you leave me

Take my body
Take my body

All I want is
All I need is
To find somebody
I'll find somebody
Like you

'Cause you brought out the best of me
A part of me I'd never seen
You took my soul wiped it clean
Our love was made for movie screens

But if you loved me
Why did you leave me

Take my body
Take my body

All I want is
All I need is
To find somebody
I'll find somebody
Like you

Ooh ooh ooh oh oh~

I like this lyric, its expression: " All I want is nothing more." Look how wantless it is, and how free it is...

I would like to say these lyrics to Christians; do not expect "anything" from God sink or swim like this song's title " All I want is nothing."  Because the more people want to be saved, the more they are fooled by false religion due to their dogged avarice. Even the Bible says as the following:

For if we live, we live to the Lord,
And if we die, we die to the Lord.
So then, whether we live or whether we die,
We are the Lord's.ㅡRomans 14:8

The desire for one's redemption turns out avarice. For if Jesus will, He will save His people, it would not be man-made volition humans are eager to be saved, so to speak, it will not be our business. Do not even ask like this:

But if you loved me
Why did you leave me
Take my body
Take my body

Or better yet, do answer as below:

All I want is
All I need is
Nothing

From
The Lord
From
The beloved,

singing

All I want is
All I need is
nothing more

Nothing.

The Bohemian By William Adolphe Bouguereau

Bohemian 1890 William Adolphe Bouguereau Oil on canvas

William Adolphe Bouguereau

 Review:

When I began to paint, I naturally came to have an interest in admiring many artworks of artists around the globe. One of them that I was drawn into admiring was the Bohemian of William Adolphe  Bouguereau(1825~1905, France).

William Adolphe Bouguereau
William Adolphe  Bouguereau

The Birth Of Venus he painted was better known as his masterpiece, even so, it is not what I want to represent on this page. He mostly painted realistic, bright, and esthetic figures perfectly. And the full-length portraits that he painted on the basis of the strict genre of classicism or academism have been eye-catching until these days.

It was known that he was a very loyal, diligent, and enthusiastic painter who had chased a stubborn perfectionism, and thereby he tenaciously delved into how to paint more perfectly. As a result, all of his artworks look supreme, so no one will be able to find faults in them as the following:

As I see it, his paintings are utterly beautiful, sophisticated, showy, vivid, and rich..., that in itself is brilliant!  Plus it was known that he disliked the genre of impressionism which is shown like unfinished, ad-lib, and immediate forms. Because such impressionism is not apt for a stereotyped academism has to abide by the strict rule of painting, so while those who followed the genre of academism had to paint accurately and formalistically like William Adolphe Bouguereau paintings. However, William Adolphe Bouguereau seems more outstanding than anyone else in those days that is why he was even sponsored by the French royal court.

By the way, most likely people might dislike such formalistic paintings, for therein lies a restriction.  Rather most people will welcome freedom or deformation on the canvases than that restriction.  But William Adolphe Bouguereau was not. He thoroughly followed the strict rule of painting.

Anyhow, his paintings look bright, tender, lovely, mystic, and sensual whereby he enjoyed great popularity. He must have made a favorable impression on the audiences, accordingly, he became a celebrity, winning numerous awards in France. Plus lots of rich collectors in the US purchased his paintings.

While in my eyes his paintings seem deficient to express the very trace of life, which says that he left out the woe of life, unlike other artists such as Edvard Munch(1863~1994, Norway), apart from this paintingㅡThe Bohemian.  The painting of the Bohemian draws me into thinking over repeatedly.

Because this painting 'The Bohemian' is not a bright tone nor is a light tone, or better yet, it looks weighty, moody, and dark, unlike his other paintings.  Therefore I have wondered why it looks like this... Anyway, this painting arouses me to ponder over what she was thinking in the painting, only holding the violin on her legs...

William Adolphe Bouguereau would not have painted the figure of the bohemian girl only by imagining, there must have been a real model. In other words, this bohemian girl would have been a real figure for this painting. She seems to muse something deeply with her barefoot... What would it be? Why would she have done so?...

What is more, she seems gloomy, thus I assume that she would already have realized the realities of life since she was none other than a gypsy(bohemian) who lived an inexorable life in those days. Who says that a gypsy's life is freewheeling? Not really.  They were hungry, most likely they might have wanted to wash first and then sleep on the fluffy, comfortable, and clean bed. As such, the ideal is fairly different from the realities of life as always.  Because the ideal is one thing, and the reality is another...  At that time, such bohemians were eager to be freed from the venal clergy who had oppressed them in the 19 century. That bohemians largely lived in Bohemia, Czech.

Quite the contrary, nowadays, most believers(churchgoers) have served their visible pastors as  God for their salvation, giving a huge amount of money(offering) to pastors and their places of business called the church. That churchgoers' faith looks pretty reckless and fatuous!

Such churchgoers unconditionally chime in the refrain to their pastor sermons: " Amen, Amen, Amen!" Even they look like a yesman who has no his own brain to think what is right or wrong since they were already indoctrinated by Christianity and its Bible and its pastors due to the incorrigible avarice for salvation after dying...

Anyhow, no one knows where this bumbling bohemian girl in the painting will have to go, even though she became a freewheeling bohemian out of the oppression the clergy, powermonger, exercised. Sadly, true freedom is nowhere to be seen in this world. Nowhere... Becoming a freewheeling bohemian is useless too...

Nevertheless, these days, tons of people have emigrated or have immigrated to other countries, from place to place as if this bohemian girl, in order to live a better life than now, however, I think that everywhere is like a hell in this world...

This bohemian girl in the painting seems to ask me over and over again what true freedom is under the realities of life in this cruel world,

as The Bohemian...

Lascia Ch'io pianga Farinelli

Movie Scene-1
Movie Scene-1

🌹 Farinelli(18C, Italy) was a desexualized castrato to make sound a high octave like females, that was his cruel fate...

    Meanwhile, people desire to gain
something both, but we people may necessarily lose one of the two in order to take only one as if Farinelli who lost a masculinity to be the castrato.

We people might not be able to get "both" at the same time; our mindset that we have to deservedly gain one of the two might be more inappropriate, rather we may even lose both...

Many dreamed to be a renowned celebrity as a castrato in those days, but only few persons succeeded in becoming a castrato;  in one sense, our lives itself are unfair from the beginning, but that is life in this world...

The Movie Scene-2

Somehow, Farinelli seemed not to be happy, although he became the top castrato in the movie, so by now he is singing the song with his heartbreak which lost his masculinity and liberty, however, Farinelli gained the beautiful and touching voice as a castrato, losing one of the two. That was his precious masculinity.

Let Me Weep

Let me weep
The cruel fate

Let me sigh
For Liberty

Let me sigh
For Liberty

May sorrow break these chains of my sufferings
For pity's sake...

Let me weep
The cruel fate

And let me sigh
For liberty...

6. The Last Leaf Of O.Henry

🍂🍁  Recently, one story comes to my mind is,"The Last Leaf "  that was written by O. Henry. (1862, USA).  Most likely people may know this reversal narrative which is a tearful and a warm, and a touching. This story was written about the poor, the sick and the artist, their lives.

In my teens, I liked this story so much, for I could peep into their lives indirectly, further, back then, equivocally, I have dreamed to be an artist(a painter). I was vastly concerned how to live and what to do for a living. At last, over the years, I have taught by myself how to paint not as an expert, however, lately I hardly paint, no matter what it is. Because I am no longer a dreaming teen. I became aware of what life is in practice rather than that time.

"Johnsy"(the protagonist) was dying because of a pneumonia, waiting for her death day after day as if a dying patient under a time-limited life.
She was merely relying on her every hope for the ivy through the window, identifying herself, her life, with the falling leaves that were falling one after another...
She thought like this; " If that leaves were all gone without the left one, then I would have been dead simultaneously..." , due to her fragile mind, weakness, frustration, poor life, lowly life...and the rest.

In the meantime, an old man painter Behrman, who has lived alone on the upper floor has dreamed to paint a "standout masterpiece" once-in-a-lifetime in his life as a painter amid his lonesomeness and his poverty.

He knew the fact that Johnsy has been conceived such fragile mindset. Consequentially, the old painter determined to paint the Last Leaf before she was really dead. The night when he was painting the last leaf was oddly stormy and wuthering.  Early the next morning, people found his dead body on the ground with scattered palettes and brushes and then they were aware of that the old man painter already died... but, the Last leaf was graphically left on the wall unlike this dead old man.
True be told, the last leaf that the old painter painted was not a masterpiece, but his death might have been the very masterpiece...

I recall that when I was sick by a similar lung disease in hospitalㅡan isolated roomㅡ for a month, that day, I was wordlessly staring at falling magnolia floral leaves through the window like this protagonist Johnsy.

That kind of her mind was like a solid belief by which she was equated herself with the falling leaves that might have been a kind of "placebo effect" and "projection". Eventually, she was recovered out of the sickness, looking at the last leaf on the wall that the old man painted on, such painting genre is called hyperrealism.

As a similar fashion, I was in critical condition. If I couldn't heal my lung disease, I must have been dead. Its disease leads people into die, unless they cure. One of my lungs was crammed with blood in it, so that I was coughing with its blood that the doctor explained through the chest X-ray.

But, it might have not been my destiny to die yet, God spared my life in those days. In another sense, I wanted to ardently die just as it is... , so that I determined to intentionally avoid to heal my sickness, but its disease was ironically an epidemic, thus I didn't want to be a murderer for the sake of my family. Above all things, I was frightened of dying... everybody may know the utmost fear of the death.

I don't even know what God wanted me to realize through such a sickness... but, as far as I know, God might have wanted to save me from the religious delusionㅡ its immersion, its obsession, its indoctrination, its spiritual deathㅡ every single moment than the bodily death itself.

But still now He may want its disillusionment out of the religious delusion, such as pastors teach the Bible. For God will only know "the Truth" and if He wants, He will lead it in each of our lives, that I would like to believe like this...
Lately, I'm being realized it more and more...

Beauty and Ugliness Essay

Image: Free Pixabay

🌻  Everybody might like seeing beautiful things; a beautiful woman, a handsome man, a beautiful flower, a beautiful house, a beautiful... and the rest, so that people only look for its beauty.

Some of them even undergo "plastic surgery" to improve their looks to the utmost extent for the sake of BEAUTY, but yet no one can conquer the aging old and the final death.

Frankly speaking, no one likes to be with ugly things, I remember some children's stories, for instance, "The Frog Prince" (the brothers Grimm, Germany)"Beauty and the Beast"(Gabrielle -Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve, France), etc.

Consequentially, all these things have turned ugliness into a beauty that is why we people are eager to seek out beautiful things deep in our hearts.  In another sense, that writers might have wanted to expose a man's sinful desire that we people only aspire to pursue an outward look than an inner sideㅡ the truth in it.

In the natural world, all categories of animals and plants have each of their natural enemy, such as a vulture preys on a snake preys on a frog preys on a fly, that is "the food chain."  By the way, there are always much more "showy-colored animals" to "lure a decoy" or to "defend themselves" than other things such as a poisonous snake, a poisonous frog, a poisonous spider, a poisonous mushroom, a poisonous moth, etc.,  the more they have poison in them, the more they look like beautiful and showy.

It is not only animals but also plants. A few years ago, I took some of the poppy's seeds in the field in order to plant into a pot inside of a house, but unfortunately, it didn't even sprout well, at last, all was dead... , though I wanted to see its bloom so that I thought that it would not be proper to sprout or grow into the pot, for it was a different environment. The poppy's seeds were "excessively small ", and I saw its seeds for the first time in my life, somehow, fortunately, it was not the poppy for a drug.

At that moment, I was quite wondering about the poppy and its seeds that I took, for I couldn't differentiate which one was a garden flower because there is another poppy for a drug. After all, I discerned the thing which one was a garden poppy and which one was not, as the following:

   Garden  |  For a drug

A poppy for a drug, looking closer, it looks like more overpowering
and has loud colors and a tough leaf.

A garden poppy, it seems more fragile and more tender.

Similarly, the more they are showy, the more they have poison in them. Regardless, peoples adore and covet something showy and beautiful thingsㅡits outward looksㅡ than shabby things, they don't care even if it has poison in it.

I still remember the children's story, as I am writing this, that was "The Rose" and "The Cockscomb" that I read when I was 8~9 years old. It was very impressive, so that I may still recall it.

The cockscomb always adored the rose that every person loves. As we know, the rose will be the Queen of flowers; a white rose, a yellow rose, a dark reddish rose, a scarlet rose, a pink rose, such manifold colors also draw people's attention to roses. Further, people artificially transform its color and its DNA as they wish like plastic surgery.

The cockscomb feels sorrow for her unfortunate destiny as always, nobody likes her as much as the rose enjoys her popularity among other flowers and among people.

True be told, the cockscomb really seems like a reddish cockscomb of chicken the same her own name, "cockscomb", moreover she has no a soft floral leaf like silk, instead of it, has a strong and a rough floral leaf, hence she doesn't even look like a flower itself that is why butterflies don't even approach to her...

While, what about the rose? She has a captivating fragrance and has a silky floral leaf, unlike the ugly cockscomb that is why...

By the way, one day, the twist of fate began to the rose, at last, her stem was broken from people's hands, for she was so beautiful and charming to people like that she has enjoyed popularity all along.

Even as the rose's stem was breaking, and then, was being trampled under the heel of people, at the very moment, the cockscomb was next to the rose, witnessing the tragic scene, so that the cockscomb realized that she was the very blessed flower after witnessing the tragic life of the rose, even if she was not beautiful, nor was showy, nor was well-known like the rose was so. For the cockscomb is still alive, but the rose was dead due to her beauty, her flowery fame.

Like this, all these things, the showy things, are like poison and have a deadly venom in them. After all, the poison of the beauty, something outward things, something visible things, killed the rose's showy life...
