1.  Preface

🎬 A long time ago, I only heard about this cinema's title, but recently I watched it at my home, paid the little cost of about $3.  This cinema was released a long time ago in 1986, thus most uploaded images are not vivid... plus it doesn't have much image data by googling.

Anyhow, this movie was divided into two sections, so takes a long time to watch. After watching it for 4 hours, its story was etched deep in my heart... I would like to recommend readers to watch this cinema...

Love vs unreturned love, revenge, covetousness, retribution, heartbreak, futility, wrath, jealousy, miserable lives, grief, desperation vs hope, twisted fates vs its reversal, and the deaths...

All these things were screened about human's mind and heart by means of the spring in a picturesque rural area, France.

2.  Synopsis

There was an unmarried man named Cesar, who was a wicked, greedy, and obstinate old man due to the betrayal of love that his beloved turned away him after making love in one night, since then she got married to another man... *Cesar: I don't know an exact French's name spelling.

For this reason,  he seemed to have transformed such a stubborn character therewith, so the wound of love seemed to let him live to single up to date...  At any rate, she early died after giving birth to her son. His current husband was living in the same village, owning his own house and land which would be inherited by his son. There was a veiled spring "right there."

First of all,  such a  fountain was vastly precious to farm in that village. That village's scenery was gorgeous, but when an inexorable drought comes, all crops relentlessly withers,  and then turns out a poor harvest... Therefore, having a spring was equivalent to having one's wealthㅡa rich harvest and prosperous life... No one can live without water...

Meanwhile, Cesar already knew that the land had a hidden spring.  Cesar has detested his ex-beloved husband enormously because he was not able to get married to her owing to her current husband, even if she herself betrayed Cesar. Humanly speaking,  who would like one's ex-beloved husband or wife? ㅡnot only Cesar but also everybody will detest an ex- beloved's husband or wife...
Moreover, what about the aftereffect of love? It will last for a long time(perhaps, for all one's life long sometimes like Cesar), if the one loved him or her...

Cesar has lived alone without his own children as well, but he had a son-like young man named " Hugolin", who was a naive orphan and looked like an unstudied person...  Regardless, Cesar was mindful of Hugolin and took care of him as his own son. Cesar and Hugolin depended upon together, for they have no family... Even Cesar wanted to hand over his own prosperity to his son-like Hugolin.

Movie Scene-2
Movie Scene-2

After Hugolin was discharged from the army, he eagerly looked forward to growing red flowers(it looked like a carnation) in that village for his future/livelihood.  Therefore, they, Cesar and Hugolin, wanted to have the spring in the husband's land(near his house) to grow flowers, ultimately wished to buy the land. Nevertheless, the husband never wanted to sell the land to Cesar and Hugolin.

One day, the two visited the husband who was working on the tree in order to bargain for the land sale. On that location,  Cesar and the husband quarreled and then tussled about, along the way the husband was dead by Cesar, who turned the husband around like a merry-go-round, subsequently cast him onto the ground, as soon as the husband fell down onto, he was unexpectedly dead as it is...

The two ignored the husband's death and then covered up the sudden accident like the husband was dead by falling down from the tree... By doing so, the two were pleased with owning the land that will be theirs soon.

Because, the husband's son who will be inherited the house and the land will not know about the very cause of his father's death, far more about the secret of the veiled spring in the land.  Further, no one knew why the husband died, the cause of the death, indeed except the two...

Movie Scene-3
Movie Scene-3

A few days later, the husband's son moved into the house and the land, bringing his family(his wife and his only daughter).  But the husband's son was a "hunchback!"  like the ugly "Quasimodo" in Notre Dame in Paris ( The Hunchback Of Notre Dame, Notre Dame De Paris: author Victor Marie Hugo, 1802~1885, France).  In other words, Cesar's ex-beloved was delivered of the hunchback between her and her current husband.

That being said, the hunchback was a smart and well-calculated tax accountant but was a naive person in another sense. He has read various booksㅡeven he read books on how to cultivate farm produces, unlike Hugolin.

In fact, the hunchback moved in that village to cultivate, namely, he moved out from a city to return to the farm as his dead father had farmed in there, although he was a short greenhorn(beginner) to farm unlike Cesar, Hugolin, and other villagers(farmers) in that village.

Movie Scene-4
Movie Scene-4

In addition, the hunchback seemed to have a pure heart in him, so his face shined with wide-eyed innocence, and his eyes was vividly sparkling like stars in the night, which therein lies a full energy of life, a hope of life.

Usually, people say, " The eyes are the window of the soul."  While, every time I see the picture of Adolf Hitler, his eyes and face are mirroring the strength and something "bloodthirstiness", everybody will feel it...

By the way, the two felt jealousy against the hunchback, since he owned the land on behalf of them.  And the two pooh-poohed against the hunchback's grand plan how to farm on the basis of his knowledge after reading booksㅡof course, the theory is different from the practice as always that's why the two sneered at.

But extraordinarily hunchback's farming that was cultivated based on his well-informed knowledge, hence the two felt jealousy by that means.  Most of all,  they despised the hunchback, for he was not a normal person, but was a disformed hunchback, which looks extremely ugly and unpleasant. ... Everybody will disrelish the deformed look...

Movie Scene-5
Movie Scene-5

In addition, all those villagers also taunted the hunchback and his family who were not the existing villagers but who newly came from a city, it seemed to be " NIMBY" (Not In My Back Yard)" which is kind of a group bullying behavior and regional self-centeredness.  Namely, the hunchback and his family were ostracized from them.

And that villagers and some of them who already knew about the hidden spring in the hunchback's land never informed about the hidden spring to the hunchback all together. They just looked at how the hunchback would overcome all the difficulties alone and despised the hunchback as an immigrant and as a disabled person.

Cesar controlled everything Hugolin did behind the curtain how to behave all the sudden appearance of the hunchback.  Hugolin also followed him whatever it was like Cesar was his real father...

During the process, Cesar had never met the hunchback face to face, but Hugolin did everything that Cesar coached.  And Hugolin also vehemently wanted to grow his flowers in the land instead of the hunchback.

However, Hugolin seemingly posed as the hunchback's kind/charitable neighbor only in front of the hunchback, but Hugolin's thought and heart were furiously inflaming with the green-eyed monster/jealousy, observing the hunchback's abundant harvest in the land on which the spring was hidden and the hunchback farmed based on his knowledge.

For Hugolin was different from the hunchback, he didn't look smarter than the hunchback, having said that, Hugolin looked like a veteran to farm, unlike the hunchback who was a greenhorn to cultivate.

Cesar and Hugolin always desired the hunchback's farming to be spoiled utterly due to the annual drought in that village, and they prayed for the hunchback would leave the land, or would relinquish all his farming as soon as possible.

For if the hunchback is completely ruined, then the land, the veiled spring, will become their's property. The hunchback didn't even know about the hidden spring that was in there, which was handed down from his father.

At last, the "relentless" drought season struck the village, it especially hit the hunchback's plentiful farming, accordingly every farm produces withered up like a handful of dustㅡeven his many cute rabbits were almost all dead by the fiery heat...

A Dry Grain
A Dry Grain

To add his misfortunes, his moneybag was also being emptied. For he spent much money to purchase many kinds of stuff to farm... Furthermore, a yellow-ocher sand wind blew all in direction, which looked they were in a desolate desert!

On this account, the hunchback and his family had to convey water pots along with their donkey from another remote place continually and consistently. How toilsome it is to carry water pots in the drought and fiery heat!

He and his family, even their donkey which was carrying off many water pots on the back were being exhausted more and more..., despite the fiery drought was never undermined and withdrawn in stark contrast with their deadly endeavor!!!

One day, the hunchback asked to borrow a donkey from Hugolin, but Hugolin brazenly excused and never borrowed his donkey, pretending to express concern over and console the misery of hunchback and his family, but rather Hugolin wanted his farming to be spoiled thoroughly underneath by the inexorable drought and the sand wind ...

     The hunchback's heart was also bruised with the urgent agony, what he only prayed to God was, Rain, Rain, Rain! He prayed to God ;

"  Oh God, please, please, please... Hear my prayer, give us rain, rain! You are seeing that I'm dying, I'm dying, dying!! " (emphasized and expressed my own words, for I cannot specifically remember each of speeches)

Even he had a dream of raining on the bed like so... One night, he heard a glad thunderbolt, so he was astounded by listening to the sound, so that jumped out of the room right away.

     However, provokingly the thunderbolt was striking far away over the top of the mountain, a long, long, long way off! Then the hunchback exclaimed toward the lightning night sky;

" Oh God!  what the hell is this ! what the hell !!! Do you hear me? Look! Every farm produces dried up! I have no money! Do you want to kill me like so? Tell me, Tell me, Tell me! Why did you allow me to be born as a hunchbackYou did it , for why?  I'm a hunchback, hunchback, hunchback!!! Do you hear me, Do you hear me? Ah ~ah~ah~ah ~!!! "  (emphasized and expressed my words, for I cannot specifically remember each of speeches)
Regardless of all of his wail, just the thunderbolt loudly... and loudly hit over the top of the mount...

Thunder and Thunderbolt
Thunder and Thunderbolt

In the end, the hunchback decided to dig a spring near his house, whereas Hugolin made sure that he would never find out the hidden spring because the hunchback dug the spring another place.

Beyond that, the hunchback was not able to dig the spring aloneㅡno one helped him, and could no longer dig the spring due to the solid base rock, so digging the spring was getting difficult, and then he bought dynamite in order to shatter the solid bedrock and the heap of soil in.

Movie Scene-7
Movie Scene-7

During the process, the hunchback was suddenly stoned by shattering stone, the stone hit hard onto the hunchback's head! (part of his body, but looked it was his head).

After all, he died through an unexpected accident like his father's unexpected death...  Before the hunchback died, he used to play the harmonica that was a plaintive melody. The melody was none other than his miserable destiny predicted he would die like so...

Hugolin was very suffered by that accident, the death of the hunchback, for a while... Because in another sense, Hugolin was also a naive man...
As soon as the hunchback died, the two proposed the hunchback's wife to sell the land, after all, she sold it to them. Instead, the two allowed her to live in the house along with her daughter named "Manon".

After the hunchback died, the little Manon perceived that the two covered up the spring in her father's land, for one day she witnessed their conspiracy, in the meantime, they were happily digging the spring in the bush...

Movie Scene-8

Well, it has been a long time since Manon witnessed the scene of their plot in the bush.  In the meantime,  Hugolin had made much money through growing flowers in the land where abundant water was gushing out, and a steady flow was flowing.

Manon's mother was a singer, so she seemed to leave that village for the rest of her life, but Manon had lived alone there, shepherding goats. Sometimes she caught
birds using a snare after that sold it receiving chump change/small sum of money that was her livelihood, she didn't move out following her motherㅡI think that she would not have been able to forget his father's death...
Manon beautifully grew up as below:

Meanwhile, Cesar offered Hugolin to marry a healthy woman for the sake of them... But Hugolin knew that no one would love him, who was not attractive among women, though he had saved up much money through a flower gardening...

However, the love came to him like it was burning ...
Hugolin was almost mad with such a  fiery love...
One day, Hugolin was accidentally peeped into a naked woman who was taking a bath in the spring of the mount. The naked body was so beautiful and attractive ... She was Manon!!!

After taking a bath, she danced round and round, showing her naked body, and merrily playing her father's harmonica, her long blond hair was also fluttering in the wind, which she looked like a beautiful spotted deer! But She never knew that Hugolin was peeping at her dance...😄"

Since then, Hugolin's heart was violently palpitating, recalling the moment she danced round and round...  Accordingly, Hugolin fell madly in love with her as soon as he stole a glance at her beautiful appearance! ㅡIt would be also Hugolin's preordained destiny...

After that time, he was seriously afflicted by "lovesickness" toward Manon..., the unstoppable love blazes up into Hugolin's innermost heart... on and on...  At last, Cesar sensed all the circumstances of Hugolin's lovesickness, for Hugolin confessed his mind and heart to Cesar, seeking help what to do, thus Cesar unwillingly accepted Hugolin's yearning desire, and then coached how to make a proposal of the wedding as a masculine man in the face of Manon, Cesar's suggestion was that Hugolin dressed up a nice hunting garment, and then accidentally appeared in front of Manon.

Before Hugolin made a marriage proposal,  he used to catch birds to be shown like the birds were naturally snared like Manon caught it. That was Hugolin's indescribable love toward Manon... But sadly...his love turned out an unrequited love... Because Manon has distinctly remembered him who indirectly killed her fatherㅡ who would want to love such an enemy...?

Manon fled from his proposal and looked angrily at him with her boiling wrath every moment, Hugolin's heart was hurt every single moment as well because of her coldness against himself...

Movie Scene-11
Movie Scene-12

One day, Hugolin discovered the piece of her pink hair ribbon under the tree that Manon climbed up to keep watch of the teacher who will be her beloved.

Hugolin took it, and then did needlework, which means that sewed her ribbon onto his chest at his home, enduring all the awful ache of pricking... As soon as its needle stabbed into his skin, his blood oozed...  Perhaps it will be meant that Hugolin will never forget Manon and will bear all his heartbreak, loving her without her knowing, that might have implied his volition, which was represented as such stitches onto his chest.

If not so, it might connote his "self-torture" due to the unanswered love from Manon...  Similarly, Hugolin's heart was bleeding by the sad... love...  Furthermore, one day, a handsome man visited that village to work as a teacher who looked decent and intelligent, and he was very different from Hugolin.

Movie Scene-13
Movie Scene-13

The teacher and Manon fell in love with one another at a glance by an unfathomable power, which would be "the predestined fate" to fall in love with and get married with excluding "Hugolin." Yes... excluding Hugolin...  By doing so, Hugolin was nearly frantic/crazy with jealousy, in a sense, he eagerly wanted to kill the teacher, for he confessed it later through his last letter...

Nevertheless, what Hugolin was not able to kill the teacher was, "love for Manon."  Hugolin expressed his concern about Manon's misfortune, her heartbreak, like this; it would be: what if the teacher is dead, what shall she do alone?...  In other words, Hugolin never wanted her to be suffered from that... Instead, sadly... Hugolin killed himself by hanging himself on the tree, leaving his all properties for the sake of Manon, her happiness...

Before Hugolin died, Manon got to know that some villagers who already knew about the veiled spring in her father's land never notified the fact to his father.

One day, Manon discovered the main waterway in the cave to which it was flowing to Hugolin's farm and that village, while she was looking for her lost goat.

Therefore, Manon blocked the main water-course without anyone knowing not to flow into that village. So all that villagers could no longer use water, the water dried up to the bottom! , all they made a noise and trembled with fear how to live for a living...

For this reason, oddly, a priest in a Catholic Church in that village sermonized that someone may have severely sinned before God, so that this tragic retribution must have happened to all of us, in doing so, he emphasized that someone must repent, confessing the sin at once. The priest seemed to indirectly point out the two, asking this;  "Who are they ?"...

In such an urgent atmosphere, one of the villagers who practically witnessed the scene that the two were seeking the hidden spring and was experimentally digging it in the hunchback's land accused the two's plot before that villagers.  Manon also accused the two before that villagers; they killed her father, concealing the spring.

      Through this happening, the two were exposed their conspiracy,  and then, the two angrily accused all that villagers, too, like this;

" It's unfair game! You have also sinned! For You have never informed about the hidden spring to the hunchback! Why do You only accuse us? "
(emphasized and expressed my words, for I cannot specifically remember each of speeches)

After exposing all their sin, Manon forgave them, after this, She and the teacher bored the blocked waterway for the sake of all villagers...

As the two were exposing their sin, at the very moment, Hugolin made a decision to kill himself, shouting his miserable fate toward Cesar.  Hgolin was a naive man on the other hand when such a naive person decided to do something, then they tend to do it indeed... Hugolin really killed himself, leaving his sorrowful and painful suicide note...

Movie Scene-14
Movie Scene-14

      Hugolin wrote the last letter to Cesar was that all these things were just his inborn fate, even what he grew up as an orphan was also his innate fate that one must be born that way...  His calm and last voice echoed, while Cesar was reading his last suicide note in front of the flaming stove ;
" Cesar... Even I wanted to kill Manon's beloved, but yet, I could not do it for Manon's happiness... Manon always scowled at me, her coldness hurt me to be distressed to the bone... While, when she look at her beloved, her eyes seemed likely to be sucked into his eyes... Now, I don't want to resent anybody, everything was just my inborn fate... please... hand over all my wealth to Manon..." (emphasized and expressed my words, for I cannot specifically remember each of speeches)

Not because Hugolin was not able to make money through growing flowers any longer by reason of the blocked waterway back then,  but because Hugolin could not endure the disappointed love, the broken heart... What good is it to save up money that Hugolin has struggled to ready for his future?...

Well, I see people say that;  "It is crazy to die for love, Nothing is more important than money." In fact, everybody will agree with that, because, sadly... money will be the best thing to live in this world...For if we people have no money, then it is meant our death...Who would be able to live without money?...No one will live...  That said,  the Bible ironically says;  ESV) Song of Solomon 8: 6: " For love is strong as death."

Sometimes, we people hear the tragic news that someone died due to his/her disappointed love, or died after they parted/said goodbye... Every time it is reported, most people seem to scorn them, saying; "Does love to supply our food? Never. Money kills people, not love..."

Well,  perhaps Hugolin might have killed himself due to his deadly desperation and heartbreak than love itself...
In other words, Hugolin might have loved "himself" than Manon...  Because he might not able to endure the heartbreak of his "broken/hurt ego" than any other factors.
In that respect, Manon might have been just a "vehicle" to mirror who Hugolin himself was...

The indescribable guilty feelings,  emptiness, grief, wrath, something like that... All these things might have
killed Hugolin himself... Beyond that, there might have affected other convoluted/complex factors behind...
In contrast, there are those who are sociopath psychopaths, can never feel the guilt in them.

At any rate, some villagers said after Hugolin died ; the love was a Heaven's vengeance...

Cesar also felt a thorny heartache, seeing Hugolin's dead body at his home... For villagers put Hugolin's dead body at his home, Hugolin was an orphan, who would want to hold a funeral and bury him like his real family except for Cesar...  Hugolin was like his son, though.

Cesar tore off Manon's bloody pink hair ribbon which was sewed onto Hugolin's chest after he discovered the ribbon, and then tossed it into a flaming stove...

Hugolin died like so... whereas Manon and the teacher got married... But yet,  this is not the end story... The tragic fate is still waiting to Cesar this time... One day,  Cesar got to meet his acquaintance who knew very well about his ex-beloved. She, his acquaintance, let him know the very important secret was that when Cesar and his ex-beloved made love with him on that night, the next morning Cesar had to join the army...

In the meantime, his ex-beloved conceived his baby, so that she sent many letters to Cesar in order to notify the news of her pregnancy, but he could never receive any letters from the army,  Cesar said that the army often had to move here and there in those days, during the process perhaps her many letters might have been lost the way, so he could never receive it...

And then his acquaintance calmly said to Cesar;
" Cesar, she  was vastly worried about your baby's future how to bring up and how to hurdle/surpass this matter without you..." (emphasized and expressed my words, for I cannot specifically remember each of speeches)

Frankly, raising a baby as a single mom will be a very difficult life...  In the end, she determined to tear off their baby, so that she jumped from the high cliff, nevertheless, fate never allowed the baby to be dead...

After that time, she got married to another man, strictly hiding the fact of her pregnancy deep in her heart.  The baby was none other than the hunchback!!!  Yes... he was Cesar's real son !!!

Cesar neglected his real son in the drought, indirectly and merrily monitoring his son's ruin... Cesar's son ultimately died by reason of the spring that Cesar deliberately/intentionally covered up, along the way, his son died thereby. Plus, Cesar lost Hugolin as well... In short, Cesar got to kill four menㅡex-beloved's husband, his real son, Hugolin, and Cesar Himself...

After hearing the secret of his veiled son from his acquaintance, Cesar tremendously got a shock. A great shock!!!... If I were him, and if you were him, what shall I  do.... and what shall you do?... Do we still want to live?...

Cesar no longer wanted to live that way, he also killed himself, reading his ex-beloved's love letters which she seemed to write before conceiving their babyㅡCesar looked he had never been forgotten her presence through such rolled-up and piled-up letters in his handsㅡ, and leaving his suicide note to which it was supposed to send Manon, who was his own granddaughter.

letters
letters

The message was that he desperately wanted to hand over all his properties (along with Hugolin's wealth) to his real granddaughter Manon, begging humbly for her forgiveness...

Before Cesar died, he dressed up a neat garment and calmly... lying on the bed, and then he never woke up until the following morning, holding his ex-beloved's hairpin... like Hugolin cherished  Manon's pink hair ribbon in his heart...

3.  Review

Notice that it can never be an absolute standard.

3-1. The Principle Of Encouraging Good And Punishing Evil

In general, people might want to believe the principle of encouraging good and punishing evil like this movie,  yet, this movie might represent more profound perspectives than people simply think.

Personally, I think that we humans seem not to live under the principle of encouraging good and punishing evil, rather, might have to live as only the preordained fate leads like Cesar and Hugolin demonstrated its irresistible fate in the cinema; so in that sense, Hugolin already hit at the theme of this movie to viewers, leaving his last words; all that was just his predestined fate.

Besides, we humans might not be able to judge what is good and what is evil, but only God will judge it by his criterion.

Not because Cesar and Hugolin killed themselves by their evil deeds, but it may be their predetermined fate to be done in this way...

In fact, we people will see that the more people do evil deeds, the more they live well with their flourish wealth and prosperity in their lives, whereas the weak, so-called good person, have to be victimized by them...

However, even this viewㅡ the wicked vs the goodㅡ will be wrong. Because, everybody is just sinners in God's eyes, there might have no the notion that people judge good and evil. But God Himself might draw a dividing line in their midst.

Just the principle of encouraging good and punishing evil might be focused on a man's revengeful viewpoint. For we people are desperately desiring the principle of encouraging good and punishing evil, because it might happen against those whom we people hate and want them to be ruined...  Everybody will want our enemies are perished under the principle.  Who would want to see the prosperity of our enemies? No one will want... That is why we people want to believe the notion of encouraging good and punishing evil.

And there are plenty of didactic novels or fairy tales based on the belief.

Anyhow, God might encourage and perish them based on His own judgment whether it is good or evil...
Having said that, there is an idiom; "There is no a perfect crime." or "The pitcher goes so often to the well that is broken at last." In other words, crimes will be discovered or perished someday.

3-2. The Death

It seems to me that there is no a certain future to humans, however, the death will be only a sole and doubtless future...

3-3. The Topic Of The Existence Of God

Nowadays, everybody will question if God exists or not, for many people are dying by coronavirus pandemic all over the world, so while we people ask; if God really exists, why doesn't He help humans from the pandemic or various tragedies ?

Before asking this, we people might have to consider that how evil humans are.... I often read the news, every time I read it, I have perceived that how evil humans are ! Every day, sinister crimes and incidents are exploding around the globe such as the problem of environmental pollutionㅡwe people may die in the heap of garbageㅡ illegality, corruption, natural disasters, wars, riots, pandemic...etc.

Every day it noisily happens all over the world, that is, evil humans and this world should have already perished, but humans and this earth are still alive, why is that? ... It might be the grace of God.  So without God, humans and this world would have already been ruined, namely the reason that humans and this world are still alive might be God's grace and God might be existing even now...

Who would still balance this world and evil humans harmonically if God doesn't exist?, which means that this world is still going on, either evil or livable, although humans have done evil deadly. No one will can adjust the balance, the middle-of-the-road, instead of God Himself... So to speak, sometimes this world seems to be ruined by overflowing evil, but this world is still going on with that evil... How preternatural it is on one level!

3-4.  Why Do We Still Live In This World?

Everybody will question about this issue... In my eyes, I feel like that I'm like a criminal under a "sentence of death" in this hellish world.

We people might have to realize this; everythingㅡ money, power, fame, health, family, nation, job, beauty,  etc. ㅡ is futile under the lapse of time, it becomes a nothingness in the end.   Even I know that my blogging is like a "dung heap" and "rubbish heap"...  That said, I have been doing it, knowing the futility to the bone... Regardless of the futility, I'm still blogging again today... What I still blog is.... that is maybe... maybe...   I think that my blogging may also be stopped someday or soon... if not so, blogging might be my destiny that I have to do...

On the flip-side, it will be the same as this case; everything is futile and we people must die.  Nevertheless, we might have to live, doing such futile works and having such worthless things until the day we really die... How contradictory it is!...

By the way, who knows what will happen? No one knows what will happen tomorrow... In that respect, I might be waiting a miracle in my life... but it will never happen... As a result, God may want us, humans, to inform His presence through the rotten futility of all things, while we live in this world under a death sentence...

Well, God might treat humans as His Maruta, which is translated into the Japanese word means woods or logs.  Unit 731, the Japanese military, brutally practiced a medical experiment on a living body in the name of Maruta amid the World War II like Nazi did it in Auschwitz.

In doing so, sometimes God kills humans, and sometimes He spares their lives, sometimes He gives a sickness(poison), and sometimes He gives a medicine(toxicide) in this hellish world, which is the same as an execution ground, namely Auschwitz or Unit 731...

We people might be God's Maruta... and might be the same as the Jews in Auschwitz... Having said that, we people can do nothing as a prisoner in there, who would be able to escape form the prison as a prisoner...? Rather, we people must die cruelly... in there.

Ultimately God might choose His people who will be saved from there.  Even God would have allowed the medical experiment on living bodiesㅡ in short, it is an extreme tortureㅡ in Auschwitz or Unit 731 in order to demonstrate the existence of human being and the flesh of humans are "nothing" like the scattered and dissected maruta, the heaps of corpses...

Further, in my book, everything is never done as we people wish... and we people can never "love" God on our side, nor can we "believe in Him" through all our efforts by relying upon religions... Instead, there might be swirling the power of destiny like this movie Manon of The Spring.

Some are to be chosen and some are to be forsaken, which says that a human's intervention or volition will be nullified under God's sovereignty, that is, a human's intervention will be a nothingness before God's will that's why we people are like God's dummies...

We people may still live in there so as to know God as His Maruta, His dummies, and His prisoners in the execution ground under the definite death again today... Some already died... Even so, God might hold the ticket of heaven in Auschwitz as if the movie Schindler's list....
